The Call and Response series, 2014-2016, was an experiment in arts and lectures, combining performance and presentation: a specialist in any field gives a presentation in their area of expertise, followed by a musical response by some of the Bay Area’s most innovative creative musicians. The events wrapped up with refreshments and an informal Q&A.
Co-founded and co-curated by Kristina Dutton and Evan Karp, C&R was made possible in part by the support of Quiet Lightning All presenters and performers of Call and Response are featured in the bi-annual publication, Vitriol Magazine.
